Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and monitoring brine solutions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met in a production environment. Duties include operating the brine return system, sampling salt concentrations, and adding chemicals as needed. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, recording data, and making minor equipment adjustments, while adhering to productivity, safety, and quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor brine solutions according to standard formulas
- Sample salt concentrations and maintain records
- Operate and maintain the brine return system and associated equipment
- Add and monitor chlorine dioxide in the brine system
- Clean and maintain brine tanks, Sweco screens, and gutters
- Monitor inventory and report shortages to management
- Report any spills, malfunctions, or food safety/quality issues immediately
- Follow all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices, and work area cleanliness standards
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential duties with attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards
- Flexibility in working hours and shifts
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with supervisors
