Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Job Responsibilities: This position is located and worked within the Division of Inpatient Services (DIS) to include: G. Werber Bryan, Morris Village, W.S. Hall, C.M. Tucker Nursing Care Center. Under the supervision of Registered Nurse: • You will provide direct patient care in an assigned area and ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, considering patient needs, cultural and social differences, age and specific educational needs. • Responsible for transcribing physician's orders accurately; safely administers medications and treatments; documents patient's response tendencies. • You will participate in lodge/unit-based Performance Improvement activities and evaluate the quality of patient care, effectiveness of nursing practice, and outcomes of care. • Using therapeutic communication, you will demonstrate age-specific competencies reflecting knowledge of cultural diversity in caring for patients while providing for patient treatment and other patient activities. • Acquire, maintain, and demonstrate current knowledge of policies, procedures, directives and Nursing Practices needed to provide quality patient care.
