Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Position Summary

• Role: Provide continuous primary care midwifery services to beneficiaries at PRIHS, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
• Responsibilities:
  • Manage intrapartum care for normal and high-risk mothers, newborn care, women’s health, and sexual assault forensic exams.
  • Offer on-call services including labor and delivery, postpartum care, and emergency women’s health issues.
  • Deliver maternal health care and educate patients on reproductive health and psychosocial issues.
  • Utilize and supervise electronic data collection and comply with infection control and safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines.
• Reporting: The CNM reports to the PRIHS OB/GYN Supervisor or Clinical Director, with supervision from the contract company.
• Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of nurse-midwifery practices, drug administration, and laboratory test interpretation.
  • Ability to teach, counsel, and apply medical management practices across the lifespan.
  • Commitment to patient rights and maintaining personal dignity.
